From Club Kid to Cowboy - Tyler Hughes Leads Boys & Girls Clubs GameDay
From Diana Hughes-Nurse with Tyler Hughes - "It is a true honor for Tyler Hughes and our family to partner with the University of Wyoming Cowboy Football program to provide Boys & Girls Club members with the opportunity to attend the November 20 GameDay experience! This is a meaningful opportunity to celebrate the impact of the Boys & Girls Clubs and give back to a program that has made a lasting difference in our lives.
The James T. Anderson Boys & Girls Club in Marietta, Georgia, under the leadership of Lauren Odom, was an essential part of our family’s life throughout Tyler’s elementary and middle school years. From ages 6 to 14, the Club helped shape Tyler’s education, personal growth, confidence, and development as a leader. We are incredibly grateful for the lasting impact the Club has had on his life and our family."
Your Tyler Hughes GameDay Opportunity:
Now, Tyler’s journey is coming full circle. In partnership with his family and the University of Wyoming, he is helping create a special experience for the next generation of Club kids. To be considered for one of the available spots, Club members will submit a one-paragraph essay sharing what the Club means to them. The deadline to submit essays is Monday, November 2, at 3:00 p.m. Each youth selected could receive up to three tickets for their family to attend the November 20 Wyoming Cowboy Football GameDay experience! Please send essays to Lisa at bgcofsw@gmail.com, and Diana and Tyler will help select the winners—the more, the merrier!
On the field, Cowboy quarterback Tyler Hughes is making his mark as well, earning Mountain West Conference Player of the Week and Player of the Game honors while leading the Pokes toward Bowl eligibility and a conference championship (currently #2). His story is a powerful reminder of the impact of community, perseverance, and the people who help shape our journeys. We are so thankful to the University of Wyoming Cowboy Football program and Diana and Tyler for bringing this opportunity to life and celebrating the next generation of leaders and champions.
